Hm.....thanks the shortage of laborer in Canada, it seems that the Gov of Canada have never restrict foreigner entring Canada for muti-purpose including to find a job or immigration. Unlike the USA, you are definately not allowed to show any trend to work or even to get any support for immigration except study, if so, would result in given a gift "decline entring to USA" plus 5-year long restriction.
Sheenamol....as you said that you have had a Master Degree in nursing plus 10 years related exp in UK, I believe you could easier then other country candidates to find a job in Canada. About the exam? Don't worry about that, it is mostly easy part in this forum as there were lots of foreigner nurses has been permitted to take and  have passed, PR or citizen statu is not the consideration. However, the only one you should concern is the academy that you should make sure suiting the requirement of getting exam.
