more or less its sure but i think he needs to wait for some days to get his passport back, that time you can't be sure. is he going there personally.

I would suggest your friend should wait for his passport with visa and  when you received your passport with Visa your friend can book a ticket.

Are you under the impression that typing in big gigantic font makes people reply faster?

Anyway, from CHC London when you get PPR yes, you are going to get the visa. Why would they request passports if they didn't want to stamp anything in them? Smiley

However, there can be no guarantee how long the visa will take - sometimes it's 6 to 8 weeks I hear from CHC London after you send the passports back.

Please note much of the information on the process relates to 2010/2011 process. A new process is coming out for FSWP in May 2013.

Hi,

Possibility of getting PR is  99%. But still no one can exactly say when you will get your passport back with COPR.  Usually  the visa office advice the applicant that a PPR should NOT be considered as confirmation of PR Visa. Suppose, unfortunately if the passport is not reached back before the booked travel ?.
In case there is an error in the name on the COPR  found when you received the COPR, you have to return the passport and COPR for correction, which may a month or even more?.

So, if you are prepared to shed some money for changing the travel plan of a booked ticket, it is OK.

Couple of weeks ago a lady used to post her worries here. I don't remember her ID, but she had sent their pps [after the PPR] & thereon her miseries surfaced. Again a London case, if I remember right, the VO kept probing her marriage... Note: That's after her & her spouse's pps were in the VO's hands.

She had sent the marriage vids, the pics etc. - yet they required further supporting docs. I'm not aware what came out of that later though... but, this type of 'mishaps' might recur, with anyone, anytime.

Bottomline: Don't book those tkts till the pps r @ hand.

Nearly there but not there! Let him wait till he gets the PP back with the visa however he can make plans which are not cast in stone.

You have posted same question on some other threads as well. As per my experience, I remember a case where applicant was asked to submit PPs via email, so he got everything ready but later on, i think after 2 weeks, same applicant received reply from CHC LA that disregard previous email as it was sent to you in error.

I haven't heard anything similar for CHC London but it can happen to anyone regardless of local CHC.

although it's 80% confirmed, but don't book tickets or sell properties as it states in PPR letter as well.
