Is it necessary to enroll in cegep befor University?

Hi everyone.
I'm planning to move to Canada (Quebec, Montreal) as an international student soon and i'm trying ti figure out if it is necessary to enroll in CEGEP before applying to University?! Or maybe i can apply to normal 3-4 year college at once?

Hi Snikok,

Policies like these are set for each individual university, so you'd have to check with the particular school you want to go to. They all have pages with admissions information for international students.

It won't be necessary if you would already be able to study in your country, assuming those credentials are recognized in Canada. Sometimes, if you don't fully meet the university's requirements, they will admit you for a qualifying year. Do check with the university.
