Dear friends,

Not much/significant movement or progress is being reported here since January 2011. What could be the reason? Is it due to Govt's control on annual intake, change in regulations/priorities, slower economic recovery and resultant shortage of employment opportunities? Buffalo VO is always considered the slowest. Even New Delhi, once considered the fastest is also reportedly slow now. Has any one got a clue to the current functioning of CIC?

Post-June-26 speed is only really at New Delhi and Manila offices.

At other offices such as London, there is hardly any movement on the post-June-26 front. I am a member of a British forum and recently quite a lot of pre-June-26 have been issued with medical requests and passport requests, and by contrast only 2 post-June-26 applicants have had medicals so far. Seems London are not even bothering with 2nd AORs for post-June-26.

So certainly at London, post-June-26 are not getting any priority. But as I say at New Delhi and Manila things are travelling like lightning - we could be seeing the first maple leaves in passports there in a matter of a few weeks.

I have no idea why the seeming discrepancy in priorities or speeds between the different visa offices. I suspect that different visa offices are at different stages with full GCMS implementation and so this is a key factor in why some are visibly slower at the moment.

Important to note from the following link that CIC is planning to take 74,000 - 80,400 FSW applicants (including PAs and dependants) in the year 2011, which could be the reason for slowdown as they have to regulate the number of new entrants.
