Is it better to Sponsor in Egypt OR have fiance come to canada as visitor...

and then we get married here.
I have been reading the time lines and my gosh, I don't want to wait a year :-). Fiance's family (and mine) is pushing for us to marry there, but I would rather have him come here as a visitor, and be sponsored here, then we go back...to extended family etc...
Any suggestions on which is less stressful [paperwork-wise and logistically].
thanks in advance for any insight.
Oh I should mention, I am not a Cdn Citizen, am a landed immigrant [that should not make a difference should it?, other criterion for family sponsorship are more than well-met....]

Bottom line for Canadian embassy in Egypt's visitor visa--->
Your fiance must have:
At least have
70,000 Egyptian pounds
in his bank.. and not recently deposited, (they will ask for 12 previous months of bank statements)
Own something, (apartment, company, store) ---> to show he'll come back to owned stuff
Try to think as much as things as possible that will prove he will come back to Egypt.. (family doesn't work.. I tried.. even if their old and sick)
The main thing to get the visitor visa is that he has to have a lot of money and show VERY strong ties to Egypt
To be honest with u, the visitor visa is very difficult to get because they know 99% of the people wont come back.. so UNFORTUANTLY ur best bet is sponsorship.. so if ur fiance is REALLY the one, get married and start sponsorship A.S.A.P caz u have a good 6-8 months to go....
You gotta problem.. If your not a Canadian citizen u
HAVE
to be in Canada during the sponsorship process.. u cant sponsor in Egypt.
Welcome to the hardest time of your life... Well for me anyways... I really don't mean to encourage u.. but that's the reality and this immigration business is very difficult..
Take care and Good luck.. and make sure your future husband is Worth it!!!! that's very important..
P.s: My husband got refused 3 times.. lol..
soo i GOT EXPERINCE!!!!!!!!!....
I even went to immigration lawyer .. and got my Local MP involved... Didn't work...

Well,
from my past experience with visitor's visa (sister's application)that it complicates your application. They will know that he tried to get in the country before and this will raise suspesions that he wanted to go to Canada and wanted the easy way ie visitor's visa to get into the country and since this doesn't work maybe he tried marriage. So what you can do from now is start the process. Gather all the documents (they take monttttttttttttttths in Egypt)! At least get katb ketab. get ur marriage certificate, qaid aeli, all the paper work. Do take a lot of photos of you and his family. Since you guys are away now and he is still in egypt. Make sure if you chat or if you chat via webcam to do a print screen and save it. This really helps to prove that you are in love and you are comunnicating and instead of waiting for 8 months, your husband may get the visa in 4 months if you have lots of proof and good evidance. They will also wave the interview if they are convinced enough!
