I received a letter fromlocal CIC office for Examination Interview regarding the PR application under In canada spouse class.

The letter says that if you have received welfare or social services benefits at any time since applying for Permanent residence, please bring proof of employment and income and termination of benefits with you to the above-noted interview.

Now my concern is that i did recieve EI benefits after applying for pemanent residence. Does that also consider as welfare or social service benefits?

No. Employment Insurance is money you pay into an insurance-like fund in case you find yourself out of a job.
