Is email the only way to get notified

my initial application was received in CIO June 15,09 and my bank draft was cashed by them on June 23,09. I have ever since awaiting any kind of confirmation or approval.
My questions are;

Should i have already got response from them?
Is email the only way they communicate about the approval/rejection?
If i missed email from them, is there anyway to know if i was approved/rejected?
Is there any way I can contact them regarding my case?/

Any kind of input is deeply appreciated.

Hello, it seems over 90 days and its over than normal processing time what has been experienced here. I will suggest you to contact CIC by sending them email or submitting a case specific inquiry. Do you have a file number from Sydney? You can also check the status of your application Online if you have file number.

What I have experienced from other members, they are now days usually sending emails of results instead of mails but some applicants got mail contact too. So be sure to check you email if you submitted a email in forms, try to check your Junk email folder too. Good luck
