Not to burst anyone's bubble here but here's a reply someone got regarding E-Cas status being incorrect....

***Please do not send us e-Cas screens, e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.***

Dunno what the point of having E-Cas is then

Hey ... guys ....  Shocked I understand what you're saying, I have read the same too.

Yet, some things cannot be overlooked:

1) What is "In Process" really? Almost everybody pre feb 2008, post feb 2008, pre june 2010, post june 2010 has "In Process" - are we really right to rejoice once we have this status? What does it mean anyway, the definition in the CIC site is definitely no indication whatsoever.

2) E CAS and the medicals received rubbish (although removed now) proved one thing. The system has flaws - and now if the guys are communicating via letter and saying in as many words "don't use it" ... it has to be mentioned here.

3) I'm bringing what CHC  had said in their reply to a inquiry to this forum ... I am aware of the contradiction. Maybe they've been lax and not changed the above pasted definition?

As with all waiting for their process, I would love timely, accurate updates. If there is a flaw ... it should be debated.

Oh and another contradiction ....

My "Client Application Status" was updated once on a thursday and once on a wednesday.... I know coz I check daily. So much for CIC's above statement ... The Client Application Status site is updated weekly, usually on Tuesdays

Seems to be that the only reliable way of getting a true picture of ones status is through CAIPS NOTES.  One question, is this CAIPS NOTES theirs too?
