Hi all.

I'd appreciate if you advise me.

I've been rejected from CIC in June 2009 based that I didn't provide satisfactory proofs being an accountant.
In October 2009 I changed my job so that I can implement fully Accounts' (and not clerical/admin) duties. I intend to re-apply to CIO after 1 year of brand new experience elligible under NOC 1111.

If I change my employer and my new Job position is Accounts /Administrator, will my Canada Application (to be submitted in October 2010) be affected?

CIC site says they require 1 year uninterrupted eligible professional experience. Between the 2 employments there won't be a time gap.Thank you in advance.

You need to have 1 year continuous work experience. If you make sure there will be no gaps example you leave one job on 17th March 2010 Work closing hours and take charge of next job on 18th March 2010 opening hours then it will be fine. But let others also comment on it and then take a decision.

There was a clarification on CIC site in January regarding continous experience. Please see an excerpt below

"Break in continuity of employment (SW1 and SW3)

For applicants in the SW1 category and temporary foreign workers in the SW3 category, anticipated short breaks between jobs are acceptable. For example, if an applicant is employed in one occupation for a 4 month contract and before the end of that contract, has secured other employment that will begin shortly after the end of the first contract, this break in continuity would be acceptable. For SW1 applicants the occupations must be one that is listed in the MI."

Ankit and Rocky, thank you very much.My last date with current employer will be April 7, and from April 8 am joining the new one. So there shouldn't be a problem.
