Good for them who beleives in GOd,Allah,Ram etc and also good for them who are non beleivers like atheists or whatever. Better not criticise each other and if some one starts or says anything without any intention lets forgive without retaliating or forcing opinion My message keep peace and harmony here on this forum.

Thankyou very much.

Indeed, I am firmly of the belief that we should leave religious views out of this forum completely Smiley

But if people do insist on preaching here, they must expect their religious comments to come up against some retort. Their call really.

They are unintentionally quoting entire passages from the Qur'an? That's some slip of the keyboard! Wink

Weddingtone and Cappuccino,

But seriously, going back to the earthquake issue, Does Canada have drills at schools to educate students if such thing happens? Are companies prepared with a earthquake manual for their workers? I do know they have for fires but...

If any of you have any info, please share it...

Dear I think you are taking it too seriously. Like others have commented there is no surety / guarantee how and where earth quake can come. I am not aware there is such training or drills at school because they don't happen in canada often. In Japan yes there may be a training bcz earthquakes happen there often.

Please don't be scared of that and why Canada only it can come where you are right now.?? There is no such place on this planet earth where you can go and feel you are safe from earth quake. You can't escape death God forbid if its coming for you.

Thanks

I have elderly relatives who live on Vancouver Island and they have never to their knowledge had an earthquake. I really wouldn't worry about it dude Smiley

There are certain continental plate "hot spots" where earthquakes are common, but Canada isn't one of them. Therefore, yes there is a possibility of an earthquake but it is definitely one of the lower probability countries, and the chances of an earthquake extreme enough to cause buildings to collapse is remote.

Here we go again. Well if you're intent on preaching your religion here, then allow me to retort with mine. I believe inventing deities to find someone to blame for things like earthquakes is childish and is just a result of human insecurity. So you are saying this Allah guy of yours struck at Japan because they were all plotting something? If not then I can see no relevance to the passage you have quoted.

Don't blame "God", blame the earthquakes. Blame what we're doing to our planet. Blame our complacency and belief that "it will all be alright if we ignore it". Earth has a long long history of natural disasters and are part of the cycle of this planet. Scientists are doing a good job but some earthquakes simply cannot be predicted.

The current state of affairs in Japan is simply terrible, and what we need to do as a human race is pull together to overcome this awful disaster as best we can. If this God of yours thinks it is right and just to murder 450,000 people just because they don't read his book, then frankly it only underlines why I don't believe in him in the first place.

To quote an ancient proverb "Sh*t happens". Let's deal with it instead of trying to find deities to blame, huh?

Wayne.

Dear Mr. Wayne,

Whatever faith you belong, you must not criticize other religions like that. The person who posted the Quranic verse here is truly out of context here as it is for those who had been punished many many years back by Allah Mighty through earth quakes over making false Gods for worship & who kept offending people of right path. So, to that extent you are right to say that this verse doesn't applicable to Japan's recent earthquake to some way.

But again, plz do refrain from criticizing others' believes & faiths specially Quran (The Glorious) if you haven't had any bit of knowledge about that.

Thanks.

Don't you dare tell me what I MUST and MUST NOT do here, my friend.

I am very prepared to not mention my religious beliefs on this forum AT ALL, but if people insist on quoting the Qur'an at me, expect me to disagree. If people don't like it, then keep your religion off this forum and there will be nothing to disagree with, will there?

Either way if you think it is acceptable for people to preach their thesist views here, yet those with atheist views must keep quiet, then you are showing what hypocrits you truly are.

I am going to bat back as much religion as you guys choose to throw - so your call how much religion you decide to inject here.
