Hi all,
In our application update, we informed CHC that we traveled to Iran once which was actually a short vist. Now they requested our passports. The Iranian visa is still in the passport with the date of entry and departure from Iran . Do you think that our visit to Iran would affect negatively?

It shouldn't ideally. I and my spouse also went for a one time visit to Iran a few years ago and then went to apply for a visitors visa to Canada the very next year. We received the visa 48 hours later, which was a day longer than others who applied for same. My spouse was called on the phone and asked to explain what we went to do there, he told them and we were asked to come and get the visa thereafter. Hope this helps.

Dear all,

If they requested your passport then there is no problem. They did the background checks. You are OK. Don't worry.

Yes they requested the passports and we previously declared our visit to Iran for one week when we updated our documents and application. We wrote this in the travel history document that they requested with the update more than a year ago.
