How long it will take to process TRV if the reason is to attend a funeral in canada, processing will be in Manila, thanks.

TRV processing is normally 6 weeks. Attaching a cover letter explaining you wish to attend a funeral might help shorten the processing time. Make sure you show proof of ties to the Philippines.

I just checked and it seems that their processing time is now shorter.

My mom was granted a visa and was able to attend funeral till December 6,2009. We filed for her extension 30 days before expiry,  i checked and found out that processing time is 101 days , can she stay up till we receive reply from CIC? Thanks.

Your Mom has implied status until she receives reply from CPC/CIC.

she is on implied status until she hears from them about her visa extension. and then it depends what status she is granted.

I am just curious if it's possible to visit a visa office personally in this case. funeral is that event that cannot wait long.
