I have a friend who wanted to visit Canada and needed an invitation letter. I am out of Canada for the last 2 years. Can I give a an invitation letter as a garantee that he will leave Canada upon completion of his visit. Do CIC confirm the invitation letter by contacting me at Canada address. Please advise me. Thank you.

I don't believe you can do this and have you overstayed your time out of Canada?

Your letter of invitation is not a guarantee just upon your word. You need at least 20,000$ in the bank..in canada..working for at least 3 years in canada..which you are not..so an invitation letter is out of the question.

Besides a person who wants to come on an invitation letter has to prove that he has things that require him to come home, like a wife and kids, a home, a job, and money in the bank.

I'm First Nation North American Indian & immigration has always been an interest to me. I believe we do need immigrants to keep Canada strong.
