Dear Friends,
I am in process of applying for TRV for canada.I have to attend 1week exam next year in July,2012.For this purpose,is it mandatory to submit invitation letter? I don't have any friend/relative there, hence its not possible for me to submit invitation letter.
My appl. will be OK without invitation letter?
I need your help please.Anticipating your valuable guidance.
God bless you.

It does not say you need an invitation letter if you are applying a transit visa (for staying in Canada less than 48 hours before to your final destination country) but you have to submit a detailed itinerary from your transport or traveling company.

Do you mind tell us what 1 wk exam that you must attend in Canada?

Hi steaky
Thanks for reply
I have to attend competence assessment, which is for Registered Nurses.sorry to interrupt you but,my querry is associated with visit visa(TRV) not transit visa.My main concern is-Is it mandatory to submit invitation letter while applying for visit visa? If we don't submit it then whether it has detrimental effect on my appl.?
Moreover,I'm applying today to get visit visa for July/August,2012--Is it OK?

August 2012 Huh? u wayyyy too early friend.
Most ppl would suggest u apply for single entry with his 6 months valid most times....

I had 4 Canadian visas an never i used invitation letters so i would not say its a MUST.....i first two application was only job letter an bank statement....other 2 visa application i send noting.

Hi Kingwil
One of my friend told me that we can apply before 1 yr but I am not sure!!.In my situation, I am anticipating medicals for my post 26/6/2010 PR appl. but eventhough it will take some time.Simultaneously,I need visit visa urgently to book my that assessment, which can be booked only after presenting valid visa. Its available dates today are  for July/August,2012 thus ,I need visa for that period,to use it as showcase. Thanks my friend.

No, the checklist does not say that the invitation letter must be notarized.
