hi,
my brother is in USA.he was enrolled in a college but stopped studying due to some personal reasons. We were absolutely shocked to hear that.I am in Canada doing my bachelors degree.I just saw immigration through investment category.I really want my brother to join me.I saw that if 120000 (one hundred twenty thousand dollars) is invested and the rest is financed he could immigrate.I really want to know if that is possible. How much time would it take for processing??Does he have to be physically present in India to submit the documents?because he is out of status in USA-- will he be allowed to come to canada on investment visa. The investment needs to be done before the filing of permanent residency or after the permanent residency status is approved??Please explain in detail. Thank You so much.

The investor class is currently closed and CIC won't be accepting new applications again until July 2012. To qualify, your brother will need to be able to invest $800K into the Canadian economy and have a net worth of at least $1.6M. More information is available here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/business/investors/index.asp

Processing times are here. You can expect processing to take at least a couple of years:
