HI Nabeel and Shuju .. I am also thinking to apply Canadian Immigrant as a Investor scheme i am from Karachi - Pakistan.

Could you tell me you applied with CAD400,000 or CAD120,000 ?

I have also applied in Investor Programm and got acknowledged in March 2008 and interview was conducted in last month which is Alhumdonillah cleared. I got 120 days to invest. My consultant give me option of CAD $ 400,000 refundable after 5 years or CAD $ 120,000 non refundable.

I have choose 120,000 and made payment in 15 days.

My consultant guided me not to file in federal because it takes 36 to 64 months to finalize. I have filed in QUEBEC Programme.

I think it is not feasable for us to wait such long i.e. 36 to 64 months.

File your case in Quebec Program? you will get approval in 8 to 10 months.

hi karachi1234.i had applied under federal class since may 2008 & still waiting.r u sure that if i apply under quebec class while federal one is still in proceess,will get approvel in 8 to 10 months?waiting to hear from you....

Yes, you can hold your federal application and submit in Quebec Programme?

Thanks for reply,so i need to submit the fee again n the work experience i showed for federal on the time when i was apply,i showed that i was working from 2002 till 2004.

but now if i go through quebec what you think they will accept my work experience becasue they are asking LAST five years experience .but i done work  in 2004.

please help me out. thanks

Brother i applied under quebec investor and i got a letter from hong kong saying my name is put on a waiting list brother please tell me
1) when will i receive interview letter after the letter saying my name is put on a waiting list.
2)did you attend interview in Hong kong?
3)was the interview tough and what sort of question they ask in interview?
I applied in august 2009.

yes, i attend interview in Hong Kong. It is not very tough for me because my lawyer is with me at the time of interview. But it is lengthy i.e. around two hours.

i gotta question for guys who paid $120K, how and where did you get that kinda money??? wow its lotta money when you converted in Pakistani currency. : )

Well considering you have to have a net worth of $800K to apply in that category.
