if someone is notified that an interview is required and that their file is placed in interview queue, is it possible to send supporting documents in the meantime and possibly get the interview waived??

Unlikely, what you want to do though is get your CAIPS notes to determine why the interview is being held.

When did you apply. Share your timeline. One of my cousin has got same thing who has applied some where in 2001.

well i was speaking hypothetically.  i applied in '04 and did medicals and waiting for my PPR for over 6 months now but i know my file is being evaluated by the dumbest official ever so i'm just worried about the worst case scenario.
