FINALLY we have our interview set for this Thursday! I'm just wondering what they will ask us at this interview. Is there anything we have to be prepared to answer? And how long does an interview normally take?
My fiance is American if that helps.

Did you apply Inland or Outland?

OK - so this is really more of a formality (I assume you already have AIP?) rather than an outland "we have doubts about your relationship and you have to prove it's real or you'll get refused" interview.

I'll let the experienced Inlanders comment.

Just wanted to clarify the type of interview because the answer to your question would be so different based on Inland vs. Outland.

yes have AIP already, and work permit... if that matters.
I'm curious to know about others experiences since we have no idea what to expect! Someone told us it was only a short 10 minute thing where they ask you a couple of simple questions but I'd like to confirm this. I just don't want to show up and feel like I'm about to take a test haha.

That's correct. They will only ask things like if you have any dependents to declare etc. Then you pay the landing fee, sign the document and off you go!

The landing fee is the Right of Permanent Residence Fee which is $490.

Maybe you paid it already?

How much did you sent to CIC originally? (I'm assuming this sponsorship application is for one person only.)

Did you send:

$75 + $475?

or

$75 + $475 + $490?

When we initially did the Sponsorship applications I paid just over a thousand. I don't have the exact number in front of me right now... but I thought I had chosen the option to pay it all up front. I can't remember if this is what was included in it or not though..?  Would they have mentioned on the appointment letter we were sent that there were fees outstanding?

edit: ok  yeah i just checked, i paid $1040 which would be the $75+$475+$490. PHEW!!!

You can find lists on the forum of all the common interview questions.  My husband and I just had our interview in Beijing this week.  They asked him (applicant) questions about me and my work and our life together for about 1/2 hour, then they asked me (sponsor) similar questions to verify that I would give the same answers.  Then they called us in together and said they believed our marriage is genuine and would give us the visa that afternoon.

As long as you and your spouse know about each other well you shouldn't have any problem with the interview.
