Dear all,
First, thanks to all of you for the support and help and for sharing your valuable experiences.
As some of you already know, my husband had his interview scheduled in Buffalo last may 11. Thanks to God the interview went well and he got the PR visa. We finally can be together now.
The interview was scheduled at 10:30 but it has started only at 11 am and lasted one hour. The agent basically asked him many question about me, my work, my education, where do I live,...etc. She also asked him about his education, what is he doing right now and what are his plans. As we are from different backgrounds, she also asked him how come we got married. She also asked about our wedding and where the ceremony took place and who attended. She asked about how we met and the time we spent together...etc. As one of the forum members said in a post here, the questions were all about what we submitted in our application.
Oh yes, she also asked him he married me only for getting the residency.
My husband had with him our photo album, phone records, emails, letters from family and friends but she even did not look at them. At the end she said that she has already taken her decision but she needs to check something before and she asked him to come back after 1pm to either get his visa or have his passport back which was frustrating. But finally, we got the passport with the visa around 1:30.
Thanks to all the people in this forum for making things easier for us. Good luck to all those who are waiting.
Please feel free to ask me any questions.
Ines

Thanks Rinnerz. Usually in Buffalo they do issue it the same day except if there some other verification to do. We made sure to pay all the fees before the interview.

Congrats!
I wonder what it was she was going to check.... Did she really have to be so secretive about it?! lol "Come back at 1 and you'll either have the visa or you won't." Geesh!

I am sponsoring my wife from south east asia,m from Québec as well, ouin oin moé too jparles francas lol-She went to the interview on Tuesday(2 days ago). We thought they were gonna ask us about everything, the phone bills, money transfer bills, they just checked the 200+ mssg i sent her in her cell phone for about 5 minutes, said she could leave & wait for more news in 4-6 weeks, she asked them wether they were gonna take a look at all our documents, they declined.. What does that mean?I tried to call them last night, was so unhappy,i mean i'd rather beeing interviewed and have a slight idea than waiting here not knowing anything.
Does that mean a 2nd interview?Or does that mean we'll get a response.Thank you all for your help,it is people like you that makes us want to help as well! Félicitation Ines BTW!

I think the most important of all is that you have something that can really prove your relationship is genuine,if there is any ways in which you can really prove them that you and your spouse are really into that sponsorship for the matter of love only, then make use of it,such as phone bills, gifts receipts, emails etc, evrything is good here, the more you know about your spouse the better, alot of people dont even have nothing to hide, but somehow they will fail the interview because they are nervous and get out of line.. I've heard from 4-5 people who passed the interview that if you are able to show them your relationship is authentic and genuine, sometimes they take decision before even taking a look at your documents,my wife just went into interview 3 days ago, after checking her phone they didn't even bother taking a look into our documents. Although i am not at this point able to predict their decision,i just hope it is a positive answer, and we try to be positive as well.Wish you the best!

Hello Kmaep, We preapared a lot of documents and pics for the interview but the vo hasn't have a look at them as she was satisfied just from the answers of my husband and the few proofs we sent with the application. You do not have to worry if you have a genuine relationship. It would be a good thing that your sponsor accompanies you the day of the interview. but he/she will not attend the interview. what if you are consistent with your answer during interview.. and you know your relationship is genuine but you cant show them enough proof??? will it affect the approval of your visa?? and will it make any difference if the sponsor ( my husband ) is with me during the interview??? thnx

-Ines the same thing happened to my spouse, but no answer was granted, they only said to wait for 4-6 weeks to get further news, without even looking at our documents. They only asked her if she had proofs regarding her answer when asked if i did care for her,i mean her cell phone is overloaded with my mssg,200 and she had to erased half already at that point..Have they made you and your spouse wait for an answer too or was it granted to your spouse right after the interview? Thank you!!
