Is someone is called for an interview, about 1.5 months after processing started and the letter to invite to the interview at the CAD Embassy says to bring a passport- would that be considered the Passport Request (PPR)?

thank you in advance :-)

When you go for an interview, they need to have your PP.
In most cases they send the PP first and then call them for an interview.
Regardless, once you pass the interview they will retain the passport and send it back with the visa.
All the very best.

no its does not mean ppr i.e they are not issuing u visa , in my case when i was called for an interview they asked me to bring my passports , during the interview they took my passports but as the interview was over they gave back my passports and other documents , if they keep ur passports then may be , how ever it differs from case to case

I heard that if they don't keep your visa, it mainly means that you have not passed the interview and won't be getting the PR.

I think it's the one piece of ID you'd better have if you are going thru this process so they are quite often asking for that reason (identification purposes) ... IF they keep it, it's probably a good thing... if they give it back, not necessarily a bad thing, just means you're wait is def going to be longer....

hang in there and good luck with the interview...
