My PR application was sent from Buffalo to LA. I am applying >OutOfCountry<. My wife/sponser is in Canada. My notification letter from Buffalo, informed me that the LA office will complete the assessment of my PR application, & that They 'May' want to interview me. Does anyone know; What are the 'odds' of me needing to be interviewed.? & How long will my application take after arriving in LA~?

There is really no way to know.  Buffalo sometimes transfers files to the outlying US visa offices to expedite processing, but they also transfer them if there is a complication or issue with the application and an interview (or additional processing) might be necessary.

Did you get an "initial assessment" letter from Buffalo that indicates that they have completed the initial assessment?  Sometimes those letters say that the interview has been waived, but they always add the disclaimer that they reserve the right to call you for an interview if it becomes necessary later in the process.  Is there anything about your situation that you can think of that might merit closer scrutiny or an interview?

Married Sept '06 after 4 yr LDR.  Applied via outland ap in March 2007 -  refused Jan '08 due to inadmissible adult "dependent child".  Appeal filed Jan '08; still waiting for resolution.

Thank You For Your Reply>> URA Hero;
   The letter from Buffalo said; Set to LA to "Expidite" Processing...
I can't think of anything that should be a "RedFlag".
I am Hoping/&/Praying for PR accepance without further scrutiny or an interview.
My Wife (in Canada) is optomistic & says, "they will make a decission This Week to accept my application & award me PR~!"
   What do you "feel"~?
thanks
