Has anyone here ever heard of any Visa offices charging a fee for interviews?

I've never heard of anyone being asked to pay a fee for an interview.

I hadn't heard of that either (until now)... someone just told me that the Havana office charges a fee for the interview.
At first I wasn't surprised since it's commonplace in Cuba for them to charge something for most services (leave it to the Cubans lol!)... but this is the Visa office so we're dealing with Canadians, not Cubans. I'm having a hard time beleiving this! Gotta do some research!

Okay I got my answer - turns out Cuba requires a fee for interviews being conducted for those Cuban nationals that wish to leave Cuba temporarily to visit abroad not for sponsorship/PR interviews. This makes total sense now! lol
Leave it to the Cubans to charge a fee!
