interesting point from sobol..

I  am scheduled to be interviewed soon by the embassy for my working visa ( 2 years contract- Saskatchewan -  Painter) . A few years back, I submitted an application for permanent residency to Canada and it is still currently being processed.

Questions:
1. During the interview, how can i say i intend to go back to my country after my contract expires when in fact i have a pending application for PR. Isn't this contradictory?
2. Were there any cases wherein one gets approved of his PR application while he/she is currently in Canada on a WV?

Thanks

1. You could say it's dual intent, you are waiting for your PR to come through so you decided to move early.

2. Yes, some people even apply from inside Canada while they are on a temporary work permit
