After medicals been done in february 2010 and passport been summited upon request in june 2....all I was waiting was a positive return of my passports with PR stamped on them.... Amazingly...upon a request I did to my lawyer on checking my status I was told that Guatemala Offices, on December 22, have decided to call me for an interview which will be announced or scheduled in the next 6 month!!!! My nerves are cracking!... they took that long to check my background and come to that decision after they had asked for my medicals? after they have held my passports for almost half a year?...and 2 month before my medicals expire?..... I thought the usual thing was to check backgrounds before making us do medicals... and before summiting passports!!!Are they aware of the fact that this means a waste of my money ? money that I might be using for future landing? For God sake, will I have to redo medicals for my entire family (5) ? I thought FSW meant undergoing through a fast process but this is ridiculous! Any advise? I feel heartless...  |

Hi
Something might have come up in your security check thats why they called you for the interview they just wanted to clear some doubts. I am saying security checks because they have hold your passport for 6 months and you have already done your medicals so if it was something in background checks then they should have call you for the interview before requesting the passport.
Did you travel around after submitting your full docs and if yes did you inform about those trips to visa office ?

Alic,
Do worry, just be truthful in the interview, do not hide anything, and everything will be okay. Just go through your file and see what facts have been entered there. Just see if there is a mistake in anything. Go for interview when called and answer to their questions truthfully.

Alic, I can understand your frustration, this is rather strange that they kept your passports for that long and called you for interview, very unusal. Best thing for you would be to order your CAIPS notes, go on to www.caips.ca or any other website and order your CAIPS which will indicate why they have called an interview at this stage. After medicals, it's normally either Security related interview or to get the feedback of their services. Order CAIPS at your earliest convenience. Good luck. |

Alic, Sorry, i wrote do worry. My mistake, DOnt worry  . I received a verification call and my past employer too, but he gave some wrong information, so I am still waiting to hear from VIsa office. Lets see what happens. I ordered caips and it was written in that if verification okay, will issue meds and passport request. God help me. |

Hi Alic
I just wanted to ask anyone here If they think there is something wrong at this visa office. If you check my timelines you will see I sent passports in May and we are ending December and still nothing. I am really worried VO will ask for an interview too. And is not really about the interview but to keep living this stage where you just don't know what is going on. I mean keeping almost 8 months the passports. Having to redo medicals, having to stop every plan you already had. Is like freezing your life for a while. I mean time is gold you know.
But we still need to be patient and never loose hope. If is God's will then just trust him.
