Hi I'm Jeck from Malaysia, I'm currently studying in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute Ottawa, i will be finishing my course at the end of July. I had done my internship in a pastry shop and the chef would like to hire me. I want to take this offer too but I'm not sure what should i do now.

My student visa expiring 30th september 2011, so:
1. should i just apply for a work permit, and if it approves it will automatically extend my visa too?

2. should i wait for my course to finish, and i get the proof or certificate that i finished my diploma, and apply for Post Graduation work permit?
(but i do not know where to check whether my institute is eligible to apply for post graduation or not)

3. can I apply for a social insurance number(SIN number) now? and can u apply for SIN without having a work permit?

That's all i want to ask for now, hope i will get a feedback asap as i really want to stay for another 1 or 2 years in canada. Thanks in advance.
