International Student travel

I am hosting an exchange student from Brazil. He has a Study Permit valid for the next year, but it says "does not authorize re-entry". His Mother would like him to fly to the Dominican Republic to have a vacation with her next week. What does he need to do this?....ot will he be able to? Also in July he would like to go home to Brazil for the month and then return to Canada. I am so new to these things and don't know what to apply for or how to do it. Please help.

He needs to apply for a multiple entry visit visa. It's the same thing with temporary workers, the work permit doesn't allow re-entry so they need a valid visit visa as well.

Well If he misses his mom,He can take the vacation AND STAY with her permanently since He wont be allowed back into Canada,So He doesnt have to go back anymore to Canada after he leaves for vacation in the Dominican Republic,He can fly straight home to Brazil,Remind him to pack all his things when he leaves for vacation.
