To all IT professionals under the Federal Skilled Worker Programme going to British Columbia ... is it worth getting credential evaluation from ICES? What evaluation would be most beneficial (Basic or Comprehensive)? Would this help in getting a better chance of landing a job?

I suggest you settle for the comprehensive evaluation because of its dual purpose- Work and further education. I did mine with them in 2005.
It may aid in job search
