my visa is valid till 2008, i already have a company which would want to hire me asap .
is there any way i can get a work visa under these circumstances?

The company would have to apply for an Labour Market Opinion from HRSDC that there are no Canadians or PRs available for the job and that they have advertised extensively in Canada for the position.  Then you have to have the skills required for the position.
