Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, so please be gentle with me  Smiley

I am a UK resident, and always have been, but I am also a Canadian citizen due to my Mother being Canadian. I am planning to move to Canada in the not too distant future, and I'm also sponsoring my British common-law partner to come with me. I have a qustion. In the section regarding the intent to settle using proof of a future address and job offers, as we have only just begun the application process, how do we prove our intention without these things? We're aware that the process takes a long time, so there isn't any point in us applying for jobs or looking for appartments yet.

Any help on this from someone in the same position or has been in the same position would be brilliant!

Many thanks.

Hi Neville, Welcome!
When you eventually do move to Canada, where do you plan to stay? Do you have friends or family who will put you up temporarily? If so get letters from them stating this. You could print out search pages of the area you intend to move, of houses/apartments, job searches, or contact a real estate agent and include the emails. Will you be taking your belongings? Perhaps get some initial quotes from a moving company.

Also, thanks for the link to the London outland thread. I'll use that in future.
