Dear Members,
I applied for PR through CHC sri lanka on OCT 2007 and for next month
its going to be 2 years completed. I have done medicals on MAy 06 th this year and paid RPRF , waiting for PPR.
Do you think is it O K to make an inquiry regarding my file as the given processing time is going to be over and almost 5 months completed for medicals.?
If I make an inquiry , will the processing be further delayed ?
I have a consultant and if I do an inquiry directly by myself on line, will there be a problem?

You can very well contact the CHC by sending them an e-mail from the CIC website directly. They will definitely respond. They are very helpful in providing the information in a timely fashion.

BTW what is the use of having a consultant, if they can't give you an update as what is happening to your case? The consultants will definitely have access to CAIPS notes which will clearly tell what is the status of your application.

I would also recomment to put some pressure on your consultant to give you an update.

May I know who is your consultant? You can also send me a personal note in a private message, if you feel that you don't want to reveal the name in forum.

All the best

Hi,

Usually after 6 or 7 months from medical  you can get a PPR. So just wait some more time and no need to remind them. If you don't hear anything for another two months you should send a Case Specific Enquiry thru ECAS requesting the status of your application.
Please keep in mind that agents (Consultants) cannot give any information until and unless they get any thing from the CHC. They are only a mediator or representative who have no direct access to the immigration system files.
Good luck

.
