hie everyone, i jus wanted to ask, when cic says that one would have to take another medical exam if they do not receive permanent residence by the time their medical exam validity expires, now is this the a.i.p or is it the full permanent resident process they are talking about? because its so unfair on the applicant that they pay so much, yet only to pay again for another exam when the full processing times for inland clearly exceed 12 months.

thanks.

The validity of medicals for Inland applicants can be extended beyond a year. Seeing as the applicant is supposed to have been residing in Canada while the application is in process, and only exposed to Canada and the Canadian medical/health services, it is not always mandatory for them to re-do the medicals.  You will be advised if you are required to re-do your medical as an Inland applicant.

i see, great thanx. now, there is no mention in the c.ic guide however that medical exam validity can be extended beyond a yr if u remain in canada throughout the whole process tho, but thanks for that.  one other thing, if u mail police clearance certificate and other general correspondence to t9c 1w3 instead of t9c 1w5 is that a big deal or no? its still the same processing place right? i discovered i made this mistake, so should i contact vegreville or would they just transfer to the proper office on site on their own? i dont want these documnets to get lost either during this transfer if they have to.
