I have gotten my AIP! Before going off to find a job, I would like to obtain a study permit to get my GED. Is it possible to obtain a GED while on Study Permit? I am inland.

You don`t need a study permit, unless you take a course which is longer than 6 months. There is GED preparation at the college I went to and it is only 4 month, but the length may vary from one institute to another. Before you apply for the study permit check with the school how long does it take.

So, essentially, even if someone was in Canada on a TRV, they could take the GED course?

I also intend to go to college afterwards, so I might as well apply for a study permit as well.

Yes, as long as the duration of the course is less than 6 month.
