You will not actually hear from them for 10-11 months after they received your application to know about the decision for First Stage Approval aka AIP. You can check to see the following on e-Cas via the CIC site:
1. Date application was received
2. Date application started processing
3. When they make a decision on AIP
4. When they send you a letter about the final stage being completed
5. And after you land they will update it with the date and place you became a PR
You may want to join the Inland Application 2011 thread on here where you can meet and chat with others going through the same situation. What other things would you like to know about the process? Did you know read about them before applying? Anyway, I hope this helps. Good luck.

It means if in e-Cas they write decision has been made - this is for sure about AIP? And next they sent me a letter and allowed to apply for OWP. So this date is the start for waiting second stage to approve?
