Hi Terry84,
Thanks for the information about CIC Etobicoke waiting times for Landing Interview appointments. I think, I will just wait because it already took me 9 months for the them to receive the application and approve my file and offer a decision made.
I will keep myself busy with other stuff waiting for the letter from Etobicoke.
I just want to ask you a question did you bring photos during landing or they will give that instruction on what to bring on the notice to appear for the landing interview?

We live in Toronto. Would it be Scarborough or Etobicoke?

You will get all the details in the appointment letter, Two photo's are required and the letter will specify other details. (Photo specification page is also attached to letter - standard photo size for CIC purposes).
Appointment letter is standard format, but they do include specific details, if there are any.

I THINK (not sure) - Depending on where you live in Toronto, West or East, it will be decided, which office, (Younge street is the separation line), but both offices are busy and very busy offices.
Like I mentioned earlier, normal waiting time is 6-8 weeks but practically these offices are working on 12-16 week lag.

My application has been finalized and I have received the Vegreville's letters informing that my landing interview will be at Etobicoke.
So now I am waiting for the letter from Etobicoke with landing details.
Hope to get it soon.
Will share the date when I receive this letter.

So, September 8th 2011 is a day when I become a Permanent Resident!
So it took just three weeks for Etobicoke to setup an appointment date and time!

We Received DM on August 17th, So I gues our 3 weeks is aproching...I'll let everyone know when our letter comes to see if this is the regular trend...Fingers crossed it is. Our wait has been very long.

I have received my landing date from CIC Etobicoke thanks guys again for the heads up regarding the processing. It took them 11 weeks to schedule for my interview after decision made I received a call on Tuesday regarding the landing interview.
Goodluck everybody waiting for Etobicoke.

Hi everyone, I just received letter from local office Etobicoke regarding my landing interview which will be on October 18, 2011. I have a question to anybody who have landed in Etobicoke recently in the letter they advised I will be receiving a permanent SIN # during the interview. So, is it true regarding this or I will need to wait until I receive permanent resident card. Thanks in Advance! |
