Luckjinx, under your wife's ecas... you should see two steps under your name. if the DM appears on your 1st step, it means you got AIP for stage one, the 2nd stage follows should show "in progress"
you got "DM" , "DM" on both section, it means you got both stage approved... hope this help. cheers.
No, they have just AIP. If it were for the final stage it would mention that they sent a letter to you on such and such date. |

When I called the 1-800 number for CIC today it said that I should expect a decision regarding my application for permanent residence on January 30th 2012 (as in a few days ago). I have not received anything in the mail, and my e-cas has updated saying additional documents have been added to my file, but I am still missing the final line that says a letter has been sent to...
When I spoke to the agent they said that everything was fine and it appeared as though all documents have been attached to my file including medicals, police clearances from Canada, US, Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos Islands. I am confused as to why the phone line would says a decision will be made by...but my e-cas hasn't changed and I haven't received any letters. Can anyone advise.
Here is my timeline:

Teriskier,i had the same additional information attached to file but fone says they are unable provide response by jan 27,2012 that was the day the additional information was attached to file ....i guess its did not say decision will be made....hopefully we have to wait for a bit while for the final decision.there is so much stress in this waiting time..good luck |

The ones that were attached in January are from early December, I printed to open and attach immediately on the folder.

I sent off my police reports on September 23rd and they still havent attached anything. They say they're working on my RCMP report, so maybe they're not going to attach anything until they're done with that. I see a lot of people getting their files attached after September, I think thats the only explanation.

As some people shared, it usually takes another two months to attach the medical result to the files, I wish you wouldn't take that long and wish that's the final step for you. I'm wondering if it's necessary for you to wait for the medical instruction or you can just go for it directly? |

I think I'm just going to play it safe and wait for the letter. It's just a bummer. On the bright side, they finally attached my police report...which took like...6-7 months. Hopefully my medicals wont be that long this time. I'm going to keep positive on this one.
