No...Nothing yet..I know...I am 4 days from my 11 month mark.... The last i heard who received AIP was mexicanito. I am keeping my fingers crossed too...Hopefully i will hear something by this week.. I rather wait for a few more days/weeks than months to get my AIP. I know the waiting sucks! Good luck to all of us! Wink

Hi twchu,

I saw in your timeline that they requested some documents.  Can you share what are those?  We sent some documents even though they haven't requested.  These are the documents we sent:  rental agreement (we moved to Vancouver), hydro billing statement, joint account statement.

Hi Jeymi,

They didnt request in my case... I simply send more information about my marriage eg More pictures, joint account statement and also FBI records to them around Jan' 11 and my medical records later in Mar ' 11. Few months later when i was able to logon onto ecas, I saw there was an update where they received the info they requested (I never receive any letters from CIC to provide more info tho). I know the wait is long especially when processing time is extended to 11 mths but i guess we dun have a choice but to wait it out. It seems to me that CIC has slowed down after thanksgiving and lately people who got notified for AIP seems to be around the last few days of the 11th month...

There are also other cases in the chart where people are notified after their timeline....Hopefully i will be like them at the very least...

Fingers XXX

Hi there, I'm one of the Nov. 2010 applicant's , they received my application, Nov. 23, 2010.  They requested an update April 2011, like my address and work... and that's it, and it was July 13, 2011 they inputed that information on my file! then today, got a letter from CPC-V today that they sent our papers to Local cic in Edmonton last Oct. 19, meaning they still have questions.... and we need to wait again for their call or letter for interview.  I hope it won't take long for them to send letter... ;(.

I know you are waiting for good news, sorry for this post, but it does not mean that we'll be on the same boat as we don't have the same situation,

The best of luck!

Charmine,

Dont wait for them to ask for updates or more info. Send any thing and every thing that shows that you are in a genuine and continued relationship.
If they transferred application without AIP, its serious stuff! Dont want to scare you, but we went through the same thing, gathered proof but did not send it, kept waiting for the interview. Well, that didnt happen and 4 months after the file transfer, we got a rejection letter and had to re-apply. So, start sending proof right away!

Thank you for the response! CPC-V, transferred it to Edmonton. So am i going to send more proof to Edmonton office? The letter just stated, that they would contact us... which will take 18-24 months! Sad
That's what the call centre agent told me. But if I can submit more proof I will...

So yeah, should I submit it to the office where they transferred our application? This is so frustrating already!

I am preparing our proofs already, I have not added any documents because they did not ask for it yet! It's just bad timing, when we submitted our application it was in Nov. 2010, I should have waited for Dec. so that I have pictures of me and my husband's daughter and grandkids on Christmas.... I should have included cards and what not right!? maybe I won't wait for the interview, I'll just send them my proof.

Oh ok then! I'll even bring our tickets going to the Philippines as well. We booked our tickets last May, thinking that they will grant the AIP last Aug. We were hoping that we'll gonna have a nice christmas in the Philippines but yeah we cancelled it already! so frustrating!

Thanks!

Submit to your local office, being Edmonton, and send it by registered  mail. Send proof of your ongoing relationship at least once a year...some people do it monthly. We did only 2x, at the 10 month and 20 month mark. We were approved 23 months after applying and 17 months after our transfer to Edmonton office without AIP.

If you didn't already apply for OWP with the initial application,, I would suggest including a work permit application, marked that it should be processed upon AIP.

THis is the current status on ecas

We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2010.

We started processing your application on January 5, 2011.

We transferred your application to the local CIC office on October 17, 2011. The local CIC office may contact you.

im freaking out that where is the AiP Huh or is my application gonna get rejected without an interview. plus if i want to add more stuff to my application shld i send it to VEG, ALberta or my local CiC office. by the way i ordered my FOSS notes. I think im in a serious problem.

Thank you Justina, I should have known this before. I just kept on waiting and waiting until they sent it in Edmonton. I will do your suggestion. I'll gather gamillion pictures, receipts, facebook comments  etc. and I'll prove to them that our papers should not have gone there in the first place.  Cry.

I did send a work permit application with it!

Thank you so much for your help!
