So I just got off the phone with CIC and the agent told me I wont be hearing anything until the new year because I was asked to update my information.  |

Question for the sponsors that sponsorship have been approved: HOw long did it take between your ecas showing we started processing you file on ____ and the sponsonrhip approval  that is what I have on mine at the moment: We received your application to sponsor ________________ on December 24, 2010. We started processing your application on June 30, 2011. thanks :-) |

how come some get both stages at once and others just 1 at a time ? I don't know how about other people. In my case, it's because I have a kid outside Canada, even though he is not applying PR this time but I declare him on my application and now the Hong Kong office is waiting for them to finish IMM0008 & 5669. To me, it's too funny to know CIC wants these paper from my 11 yrs old kid since he's NOT coming and they still want the WHOLE details about his schooling...living...blahblah....  and the most funny part for me is my son has to fill it AGAIN later, when he is going to join me here. Anyway, now I'm working on "push" my ex-husband to fill it so I can be landed. I deeply hope everything can be done soon....  |

We started processing your application on June 30, 2011. thanks :-) my sponsor's status changed after we got the approved news from call center and it had all changed in one day. I mean, before he got approved, we had never seen anything on his Ecas, no matter the date they received or processing. I noticed you're from Quebec, I don't know if that's the reason your case is different than mine. |

Just curious, where does the sponsor even go to check the status?
Angtao, the the sponsor has ID # XXXX-XXXX on his/her PR CARD ,so you will have to use that together with all the information to be able to access the ecas to find out his application status. |
