Boa sorte, They sent me a latter requiring an update on my work history, if I was still at the same address since the date I sent my application and if I was part of any organization. I don't know why they did that, but I didn't question.. I just answered what they wanted.

My timeline...

Application recieved: Mar 1, 2010
Started processing: May 17, 2010
Status of application as of Nov. 8, 2010: In process...

Its been 6 mos already since they started processing our application and its still "in processs". Phoned the call center last week and they said I have to wait for 2-3 mos more till I hear fr them...

I envy those who applied outland coz theirs didnt took this long...

The lawyer who was working on my Application said that people applying INLAND don't need to send  FINGER PRINTS to CIC, is it accurate?

You don't need to do the Canadian police check-up, if that's what you mean. CIC Hotline confirmed this to me, they have their own ways to track your name in the system (thank you, Big Brother).

By the way, here's my addition:

Thank you mimi and Jurjen,

Yes I did send the Police Certificates, but I did not send the set of finger prints, since I wasn't required to get them.

Jurjen that's what I have been told as well!

kiwikris you dont write a letter, sorry i tried to upload the link but the link doesnt work i dnt knw what is wrong but just google ordering foss notes then it will come immipedia click there then you will see the forms and where to send it and how to fill the form you can either drop at your local office or fax it whichever is safe n easy to do(http://immipedia.ca/ordering-foss-caips-notes).you will only write ur date of birth, client id and phone number n ur adress

Thanks Mimi I will look into it and I also found this page for contacts about personal privacy and information to do with Immigration.

I sent in fingerprints and also a police check for Canada since I had to get one anyway for volunteering. I was trying to send in as much as I could so they wouldn't need to ask for anything in the hopes it may process faster!! Not sure if they hae to be sent in. Think it cost $30 to get them done.

Congrats Bruce!!..

Hello my fellow inlanders.!, Just checking up to see how everyones doing.

Im off the phone with an agent. Decided to call them and inquire more stuff,

Agent told me a few things

nanaimo office takes 12 to 18 months to process applications (He spcified that this is the whole process and not just for me to hear from them)

I asked him about my file and if he could see my FOSS notes as ive not received them yet.

He put me on hold went to check and said the reason they transferred my file was because they required more information! :O

I asked if they requuired more information why did they just call me to provide it as i had it all this time.

he asked me how long ive been married for. i said 8 years (He was surprised) and said he wishes he could help me further but couldnt.
He said i should give them up to November of next year to get my whole file processed ie.. PR and everything!. WOW!!!... I am baffled!!. 12 - 18 months!?!?!?!??

So i have decided i will not wait for them to contact me but i will send them all my stuff.

This is becauase i now know why they transferred my file and i have all the information!..

I have a question. I have 100 + photos. they are proper photographs i printed at walmart!. btw 100 photos cost me only 15 bucks to print!!. I put them all in an album. Should i send the album?. or should i just prin copies on regular paper and send them?. . Also, should i write at the back of each photograph??.

what did you all send ?

I also have tonnes of email from friends and relatives who have known us over the years as a couple. and emails from me and hubby from when we first hit on each other. .

Should i print some sort of form from cic website and attach it??

i need ideas to make my case look very strong right now..

How is everyone holding up?
Ive not heard from janadian. hope she is doing fine.
janadian did you order your FOSS notes?. did you call them?
