Hey fella'z! I was really hoping to to get an ecas update indicating both stage approval, but I will take what I got. Not complaining, just hoping that 2nd stage comes ASAP!
We received your application for permanent residence on October 14, 2010. We started processing your application on November 26, 2010. Medical results have been received. We received the requested information on April 20, 2011. Thank you for providing the information. A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

Congrats! Looks like we're on the same boat! Did you give them a call to find out if they're missing something? Or at least do you know why they gave you only one stage??? I got AIP because they didn't have my police sertificate (my wife is from ukraine, so according to the guide you don't have to provide it at the time of application, and it says "you will be advised if you need it later), which is exactly what they did:))) So predictable...what about you???

Thanks. I just called CIC, and talked to one of those negative energy male agents (Many times the female agents are + energy). He was able to confirm that I got AIP and an open work permit was sent also on August 2nd. Nothing is missing, and they attached my police certificate which I sent to them a little later on April 20th.

Anyone know i cant see my wifes address anymore on ECAS it used to be on there but not anymore.. is that a good thing or bad thing pls help ... what going on?
Hi mcayetano, Try out to check ecas in different web browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla Firefox). If it does not help, i think you have to make a call CIC.

Thanks I can only hope now. U haven't heard anything yet? Did you send in a police certificate together with your application? No news for me. I sent two police certificates from Russia. One of them was included in my sponsorship application, but it was dated on May 2010. At the autumn we ordered a new one at Russian Consulate Embassy and sent it to Vegreville with an additional package of proofs on March 2011. At this ttime CIC have not requested any documents from us. I am afraid to setup a new record with my 10 month AIP waiting timeline between August-October applicants Hope the waiting will be finished soon.

I'm pretty sure you will hear from them by the end of the week. Just pray you get both stages like most of the folks out here.

Hi all, I'm just having a bit of a bad day today so I need to rant: those guys are still "working" on my file! I'm a bit worried that, say, CIC sent the clearance back to Vegreville, it got lost somewhere between the desks, and Vegreville just keeps waiting for those papers till the end of time. Is there a way for me to double check that?
Thank you so much, Stethar

Should i send them right away? Do you think im not going to be approve both stages because of this? help! 2nd stage approval is all about medical , security and background checks. I think a police certificate is a vital element for security & background checks. I think it also depends on the country you are from. From what I've seen people from certain countries may not need a police certificate. If I were you, I would obtain one and send it in regardless.
