If you call the helpline they can give you an approximate wait time. It is usually less than that. |

We received your application for permanent residence on August 17, 2010.
We started processing your application on October 14, 2010.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made and you will be contacted.
We sent you a letter on June 3, 2011 to ************************about the decision on your application.

Do you know if my passport has to be renewed for at least six months when I land, I know this does not apply to you cuz your passport is valid for 10 years.....
Yes, I do believe your passport needs to valid for at least 6 months before you land. |

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers Striking in Montreal
2011/6/6
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers Montreal local is on a 24-hour strike today that is expected to end at 11:30 p.m. Picket activities have begun at Canada Post's Léo-Blanchette Plant, the Bridge Street facility and a number of letter carrier depots within Montreal. Mail induction and delivery will be affected in Montreal and the surrounding areas today.
The rotating strike in Hamilton ended as expected at midnight Sunday. Mail delivery in the Hamilton area will take place today; however, volumes are expected to be lower than normal.
It is business as usual everywhere else in the Canada Post network.

Hi Lovely20,
The PR letter says:
"This letter refers to your applicarion for Permanent Residence under the dpouse or common-law partner in-Canada class.
We are please to advise that the processing of your application has been completed. The local CIC office will contact you concerning your permanent resident satus".
Then it goes on to talk about paying the RPRF, if you have not alreasy done so and that it should be paid to the local CIC office and not to CIC Vegreville and to bring original identification documents to local CIC at the landing appointment.
Thanks Komar! Hopefully I get this letter in the mail this week. Anybody landed in Calgary? I was wondering how long it takes, any inputs? |
