Hey there. We used Ufile. It was $20 for the program and you can do up to 8 returns I believe.
It was such an easy program and I did both of ours on my own. Because of the programs we found so many credits and benefits we were entitled to, got back a far bit more money (because I don't work), and hubby got back double GST because of their error.  We filed his through Netfile and was very easy. He got the check in the mail in about 10 days. You can always send me a PM if you want to.

In E-CAS status is "In Progress" since October.

I am VERY lucky to be able to keep working, for some reason they sent me a letter stating I could continue to work

If I couldn't work, I would be screwed.

They've sent you a letter that you can continue to work? Did you submit an OWP application with your PR application?

They received my papers on Aug 3rd, 2010 but I haven't heard a word since then. I can log on to eCas now. Even tho it said in there I should have received a letter that they've received my application, which I never did.

Your'e not asking me, but I was using UFILE for the last 6 or 7 years... I'm pretty good with it.

1) Yes you can use it with dependents.
2) You will have to enter all 0 on the SIN if you don't have one.

The results will tell you that is "an error" but you still can go ahead and fill your taxes.

Yep I sent an application for an OWP too. I got the letter back in October last year.

I never got a letter stating the received my application either.

Hi everyone, it's been a few day since my last post, I have been really busy lately. My dad is the hospital for his second surgery in 1 week. He had to get part of a lower disc removed because it was sitting on his sciatic nerver, he went home and the rest of teh disc that was remaining dropped down on the sciatic nerve again, so he went back in yesterday to have his second surgery!  he is going to be alright though. Easter was on the weekend and I celebrated and enjoyed time with my family. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter for those who celebrate it.

I took my spouse to his health card yesterday. We have a three month period from the date on the AIP letter.  I thought the wait started the date you applied for the health card, but they use the AIP date. We went today to get the SIN card and he has started applying for jobs. Let's hope he get's something soon.

We have to get his police certificates which is turning out to be time consuming. We had to go to the bank get the bank draft, go get passport photos done and endorsed by someone. Then we have to send it to the UK and wait for it to come back and then send it to CIC, eeekkk but it's done. I feel like have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. It's nice to sit and relax.

I hope everyone is well. CIC has started into July, that's exciting. I know the website says June 29th, but don't be discouraged, you know they work ahead. Can' twait to hear good news this week

I seriously start thinking that something is wrong- we got transferred or we left something out of the application or I don`t know...I don`t feel good right know, I was so excited in the last two weeks, than nothing happened and still nothing. I called today again- the agent said there is no decision- it hasn`t been transferred or anything, just no decision. It makes me sick to my stomach that I have no clue what is going on. Another bothering issue that my WP got lost in the mail for sure, so I can`t get my health card back for a while still.
Blah, I don`t like complaining, it is one of those days when I feel pretty helpless...

It did arrive on the 26th. I don`t get it, the e-cas should say decesion made even if you are transferred right? Or if they want to have any more info before thay can make a decision, usually they send you a letter and the call centre agent can see those things too...Maybe our file slipped off the desk?
I should keep my spirit up and wait a little bit more before I get to any conclusion, I guess, it is just very hard to be patient and wait and wait...you know what I`m saying.

Ditta, before thinking abut the worse i would wait a couple of weeks. Maybe they are already doing some background checks and they will give you AIP together with PR. In e cas i think it should show that your file has been transferred. it cannot say decision made if your file has been transferred, because if the file has been transferred they have to interview you before they can take a decision.

Inlandappl and Lovely, thanks for your support. Without this forum I would go insane. It is a great feeling to be among people like myself and vent sometimes here.
