Wait sorry lol Ignore the 550 , I read it wrong. so it will just be the 475 for me, 75 for my fiance, 150 for OW and then the 490. so that's like $1190.

Thank you Smiley

Thank you, I really need luck.

I am aware that my case is not one of those straightforward ones. It has to do with my relationship with my partner, like age difference, different levels of education, where I am from and so on...

Good luck to all of us, and that from now on the timeline start to get faster.

aw good luck to u! have faith Smiley if it will help, ill mention that mine and hubby's education level different (i have bachelor degree, and hes highschool grad), race difference (im caucasian/hes asian)  Wink

Hey guys,

How long does it take for your application to be in progress from the day you send it? I heard it tales 2.5 months but friends of mine that applied inland said that they sent there application mid October 2010 and there package has not even been opened yet?

Thoughts?

Once one send an application to Vegreville, it sits there(somewhere) for 2 to 3 months.

After the 2-3 months has passed, CPC-V then reviews both the sponsorship and permanent residence applications to ensure that they are correctly completed, signed, contain the minimum requirements stipulated by the guides, and that all the fees have been paid and then they create paper and electronic file, client ID # an so on.

After that the file isn't touched much till they start to do the initial assessment, I think it's something like 6 months after they initially reviewed the file.

Boasorte,

Do you know why they would not have even opened my friends file yet? Are they assigning client id's to packages that were sent from May 11,2010 as per the website?

Also, did you inlanders pay the entire amount to CIC which is about $1050 or $1150 or did you just do the $475 plus $75 when you sent in your application? We are sending ours out on Friday. Thanks god.

Hi adzees

Thanks for your replying  Smiley

My son is not join me here now but maybe in the future, I'm not sure that's why I still want to send him to do the medical exam and I understand I won't get the medical result. I'm just thinking if it would be fine that he goes to medical exam in Taiwan right now and then his father could send the medical receipt to CPC-V to proof that my son had done the medical things and the receipt might help CPC to know where they could find the info.

Yup you can either do that, or you have can wait till Vegreville ask you for your son's medical. In my opinion, you should wait for a medical request of your son from Vegreville.

Currently the first stage approval time line is approximately 9-10 months. By the time immigration officer will start to process and finalize your case, your son's medical will already be expired given that medical has one year validity.
