Am_lina, so they received it on Aug.2 and attached it on Aug.22. That is only 3 weeks later. It does not make any sense as they are opening mail from July 15. I am confused. How come they attached it within 3 weeks?

Naz, thanks for your info but a date would really help. Can you tell me what the date says on e-cas for when your file went in to process?

"We received your application for permanent residence on August 24, 2011."

Hope that's clear n my last client I'd n file number did not changed and IRS also showing my old case.

Your friends probably got approved for both stages at the same time and they probably got a letter in the mail telling them when they are going to land. Then they went to land and was told that they will get there PR card. Do you know the process? 1st stage, 2nd stage and then landing?

I do not mind answering questions but sometimes the questions are so general that you can find out the info simply by reading the threads.
I am assuming that you have time on your hands as most of you are not working. Sorry, it has been a rough day! I just need to vent. Especially seeing the 2 day jump. We are now going on to 1 year. It is Nov.3 and they are working on Nov.23. We are clearly going past the 11 month mark.

We started processing your application on April 19, 2011.


When your file goes in to process just let us know.

You are absolutely right. There is for sure a wealth of info in the INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010 thread (here is  the link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2010-t48144.0.html). Since that is a much more experienced group there is a lot to be learned from them, and there are several quite knowledgeable people readily available to help.

Yes Angtao, I will definitely let you know, I want to keep everyone updated. I think its a great think you guys have going here, gives people a lot of support and also helps them understand time frames.

It's funny my wife is the one being sponsored but I am more nervous and anxious about it. So far she has had a pretty nice attitude to this whole thing, hope it stays that way!


Stay positive everyone, I know for people who can't work or study it's tough. However, my tip would be to try and stay active and involved in your community, volunteer, get involved with your local religious organization etc...and don't forget to exercise.

  I just checked my status. It was in process since June 28, 2011... I put in my full name instead of my family name that's why it didn't pull out my profile. Anyways, glad to see. I do have a question though. What does the date mean? In process, June 28, 2011, but they are working on the application from Nov, 2010? Do we count our time from June 28, 2011 and expected 10 months from then, we should get a letter. Or does the Nov, 2010 is the one showing that they are opening the package that they receibed from that month. So I need to wait for the date up to June, 2011 and then count 10 months after that? Hopefully my question didn't confuse you guys. Thanks in advance.

geran, thanks for the update. I really do not think it matters when your file goes in to process. I honestly don't. You can't the 11 months from the day they received it. Every Wednesday or Thursday the CIC website gets updated with new dates.

Tecle, you will get your OWP when you get AIP. Not sure about traveling outside of the country. Does anyone else know?

Well, I guess fleo, jadarius and lordsloman have dropped out of the chart. Does anyone know them or keep in contact through PM's? I know some people in the 2010 thread have each other on facebook and stuff.

How the heck did I miss kuojason. He was the first April applicant all along. I went back to the early pages and found his post. I can't beleive we all missed that. The last time he was on was sometime in September. Kuo, where are you at? How come you didn't speak up?
