I hope this message finds you well.  I believe these forums are quite helpful in many ways, and want to thank you all for your generosity in helping others with their -our - questions. With that said, angtao, we would very much appreciate if you could add our case to the 2011 chart.

Below please find our timeline according to e-CAS:


        * We received your application for permanent residence on January 21, 2011.
 
        * We started processing your application on March 7, 2011.

My E-Cas doesn't show that it's in process yet but I have my address updated. My guess is the process will speed up pretty soon because of the new generic form which allows them to extract applicant's information at no time.

Angus, I wouldn't worry about that. What I would do is call CIC and ask them if your file is in process yet? It used to take 2-2.5 months so maybe it will show up on e-cas next week.


It is so weird that perk and xanthe sent there apps in mid July and there's went in process on Aug.4. Then we have abozzy and buima which sent there;s in on the same day and have 2 totally different in process dates. Your got there 1 day later and it is still not in process.

Mine not in process yet but maybe mine a lil complicated....

1st I didn't pay the $75... so I had to send that receipt a week later
on their advise, label package missing receipt and they made a notation on my file prior to mailing

2nd I mistakenly wrote my name on the sponsorship receipt (am not the sponsor wife is)
I am just waiting for at least 2month b4 I call... so they don't say I have to give the allotted time for it to show up
when I check ecas I just check both names with the different receipts            

Maybe you can ask keedeisha how to create a excel chart list getting longer

I cannot believe the jump was only 3 days. This is unbelievable. They have been on October since July 20. I hope everyone is back from summer vacation so the time speeds up again. Are they sleeping in Vegreville?

Dear inland applicants, I got some confusion about the new applicantion forms (used after July 18th) and the old ones)
1. Is there anyone who used the old forms after July 18th? Did you include the new IMM0008 in your package?
2. At the end of the new IMM0008, it asks for consent from applicant for sharing information related to education and work experience with prospective employer, what does it mean exactly? Does it mean CIC will put the information in a database which prospective employers can search through for eligible workers? Or does it mean after the applicant gets PR and starts looking for a job, the employer can use the information to do background check?

3. Did you choose "yes" or "no"?

4. Since I am thinking to setup my own business, can I choose "no"? Will a "no" answer cause CIC to suspect the truthfulness of the information provided and result a background check (and definitely result a longer wait)?

I don't know sma. I would probably say yes but this is just a guess. Why don't you want your info to go in to the database. What is the problem with that?

hi nilyam thanx for your reply congrats.. so did u send your letter from your doctor about your pregnancy along with apllication?
and asuming you dont have insurance here please advice me on the cost of doctor visit and the cost to give birth thanx alot

thanks. yup I sent the doctor's letter(that says my duedate) with my application. My Alberta health card will expire on October 18, and I called Alberta Health, they extend it for 90 days... it is $50 every time you visit the clinic if you dont have an insurance. and I think the cost of giving birth is around 5K-10K cnd. BUt I am not that sure...

Hi nilyam - do you know how maternity leave and medical coverage works in your case? We want kids soon, but have put it all on hold because of uncertainty of these two things.

sorry for the late reply. i just apllied for my EI(maternity and parental benefits) on line, no reply yet from service canada. and about the medical coverage, basically I am covered till October 18, but I called Alberta Health to extend it And they grant me 90 days extension. SO I am good till January 18, 2012 next year. and my due date is November 7. My pregnancy is not plan beacuse I am a temporary foreign worker but its a blessing. we dont regret it, especially right now that I always feel my baby moves...
