Ok so no one seems to a answer questions here? Anyways applicants herE who have mailed in ur applications did you mail ur medical report too?  Cause i read on the website where u can submit ur application without the medical as cic will ask for it later as thebmedical expires 12 months after. Anybody wise in this department please give m ur adivice as its $165  to do the medical and thats just a waste of time and money to do the medical now when it might expire and have to do over. Your advice will be appreciated thanx

Hi Chinda, I'll try to answer some of your questions:

Medical- really up to the person.  We sent ours with our initial appplication sent August 16, 2010.  According to our FOSS notes which I requested sometime in June 2011, it has been received and August 31, 2010 and had a note medical check passed on the same date.  CIC says that they don't normally look at the medicals at the first stage but they did with ours.  If you have a straight forward case like ours I suggest you submit the medical together with your application and not at a later date.  If you have lived in differrent countries before, been involved with police, military or any other security stuff from your home country you can submit it later if you want to as your security checks could take a lot longer.

Police certificates -  you should attach the police certificates of  ALL the countries you have resided for at least 6 months.  What they are discussing about in this forum is the RCMP check.  You don't have to attach the Canadian Police Certificate as they will contact RCMP directly.  Again, unless your name is a common North American name you should be good.  If your name is quite common you might want to request an RCMP check now as they will probably request it later.

Chinda, read http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2010-t48144.6720.html, one page ahead and one page after it too. I think most of your questions were same as mine and people answered there. Hope it helps!

hie everyone, i jus a have a question, how long is it currently taking local cic offices to process inland spousal sponsorships transfere to them, especially the calgary local cic office? if an application is transfered to a local office, is it still in first stage processing and if everything checks out good, is the second stage processing start from there too? i heard in some offices, there is such a  backlog that it takes them even 32 months before you have an interview. now is this just the first stage processing or inclusive of the second stage as well and  an interview would then be called in then if that goes well, you eventually land???

i think we should propose certain ideas and present them to minister jason kenney as to how backlogs at cic offices can be reduced and in general particularly at vegreville too , dont you all think??

If your file has been transferred without frist stage approval you are in for a long wait.  As of February 2011 when we inquired at CIC Calgary it takes 18 months to get an interview schedule.  You can try calling them and ask what is the wait time now.  They call you for an interview if they have questions about the genuineness of your relationship.  There was an OP in 2009 that had her file transferred in Vancouver by mistake, the local CIC checked it and corrected the mistake and I think they approved her within weeks.  Again, it depends on what they are looking for when they call you for that interview.

Great Canga. I will update the chart.

Chinda, I think it takes about 2-3 months to hear about your extension. All this info can be found on the CIC website. Yes, when you apply for your OWP, you must use that same document that you used to extend your stay.

Thank you 'C.Karazub' for siging for (what I hope to be a duplicate) my application today.

So if the one that was suppose to arrive on July 22, didn't make it - I know for sure that my application was recieved today. My current visa expires end of May 2012, so this would only be a few months on a visitor visa and not being able to work before implied status kicks in.

Been trying for two days to get through to CIC to ask for a Client ID, but they are always too busy. Not too sure if they could help me anyway, when I called last week (before I found this forum) they said they could only search for my application based on the postal tracking number - which of course I didn't have or I wouldn't be in this confused state right now - lol!

I finally finished reading both Inland 2010 and 2011 threads, well, please allow me to celebrate here since it means a lot to me, LOL. I'm soon sharing this thread too.
Inland 2010 thread really cost me the huge labour though. I won't complain, everything I got was far more valuable than I expected
I already finished medical check today. Just waiting for some papers from my country and expecting to send my app around October 15, 2011.
Have a good evening, guys!

Well done hatrang!

Wish I knew about this forum before posting off my application. I didn't put in any joint bills or anything, mainly because the check list said to only do this for common law relationships Sad They will probably now request more information from me and it will push my application back - oh well, we live and learn!

Thanks Angus. I just googled a lot when I started my paperwork, you know, many questions are waiting for me there.
And fortunately, I found this forum. People are really kind, helpful and friendly.
By the way, is it true or my mistake, I didn't see you in angtao's list. Sorry to hear that you missed something.

As I learned here and there in this forum:
If you are still waiting long for AIP, you still can modify. And more important, you'll be fine. As you said, you two already got married.

In my upcoming app, I still include renting agreements and our sharing addresses to prove we've been staying together for more than 1 year even we got married already. I don't know but I'm trying to give as much as I have. I don't have any joint bills or bank though, financial strains.
Chins up chins up, we'll be there at Rome!

I guess I'm not on that list as I couldn't confirm the date my application arrived in July. I sent it off July 19, via xpresspost, so two business days should of got it there July 21. Problem is the Canada Post reciept was damaged leaving the tracking number unreadable. Sadly Canada Post has no way of finding the tacking number on their end, so I have no way to confirm that my original application did in fact arrive.

I spoke to CIC last week and they said just re-send it as a duplication with an explanation cover letter, if my July one did arrive they will start processing that one and my September duplicate will not effect the process. Did this and my duplicate arrived today

...It's already been a stressful process.

Angus, when we sent our Expresspost, we gave them our e-mail address and they e-mailed out tracking number right away. Do you not have it on e-mail?
