Naz, it looks like you should wait a few weeks before calling CIC and getting your client id number. You may not have been assigned one yet. Have you ever had to extend your status?
cangaceiro, Have you ever had to extend your status? Your client id number would be on that. If not, then call CIC and ask them what your client id number is. It should be something like this xxxx xxxx.

Dear angtao,
I have an old reference for OUtland Case which was refused from London Office cause i did not attend the interview. I have tried that reference but its not working. I have tried the new payment reference but its not working either nor the PR payment reference.

Naz, you can try calling CIC today and ask them if you have been assigned a client id number yet.
Call them and then let us know what they say.

Hi, I'm new here, just found the forum today and be stunned with the good info. I was spending 5 hours to read this thread and another one from Love_Young (INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010). I feel really headache with reading now since these thread seems to be never ending. So far, I still have some questions, I really appreciate if you guys can answer for me. Please forgive me if any questions were post before. I couldn't finish reading all posts while my preparation time is nearly over.
I'm here in Canada more than a year so far under Closed Work Permit. I quit the job some months ago since "enough is enough", I couldn't stand for the employers anymore. I got married here in Canada in June, 2011. My visa will be expired in Jan, 2012. I intend to submit my application next month (October, 2011).
Here are my some questions on the application package: 1. I read a lot, some people said I don't need Police certificate inside Canada, others said yes. I know from CIC tiny post, I don't really need it. However, people claimed that if I get it early, my application may process faster. To be honest, please let me know what I should do now? If I want to get it first, should I print Appendix A to any local police office? Can I request it online? How much do I pay for it?
2. The same as police certificate, now, the fingerprint. Let's say if I want to get fingerprints before submitting the application, which Client ID no. should I fill into Appendix B? I don't have any client ID no except the one on my work permit. I know the one on my work permit doesn't make sense in this case. Please help!!!!! So confused.
3. If I want to get an open work permit during waiting time of PR processing, do I need to finish "changing work permit condition" application and attach with PR application? I read here and there, people said that I don't need to do anything, an open work permit will be automatically issued to me after 8 months of PR processing, is it true? If you guys went through this part, please kindly help.
4. Medical examination: "5289E Instruction Guide.PDF" said that I don't need to do medical check before submitting application. However, still some people did it in advance (from this forum). Could you please advise if I need this one before submitting the application? Where should I go for checking and how much for it?
I'm sorry for asking too many question at a time, but yes, I have to make them all clear before pushing my application out. Your inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Hello Hatrang.
We hired someone to help us put our package together and he said that we should definitely go get fingerprints done to get a police clearance from Canada. My husband was in Canada for longer then 6 months so you actually have to get it done. The person that we went to had them done electronically on Saturday and sent to Ottawa. By that Friday we had the police clearance in our hands.
You also HAVE to get a medical done as well.
As to getting an open work permit, the wait is now 10-11 months until you get AIP (Approved In Principle) before they will issue you one. You must send in the open work permit application when you send in your PR application.
If you want, you can also post these question in the Inland 2010 thread as they are very knowledgeable over there.
Hope this helps.

hello angtao, Appreciate your response, very fast, thank you very much. The person to put your application together, is s/he inside Canada? Is it possible for me to have his/her contact info? Do you remember which Client ID No. he/she put on the fingerprint request form for you? I really don't know which number I should put on this form. I don't submit my application to CIC yet, therefore I don't have any Client ID no. I feel this one like a infinite loop between forms I'm sweating to read more and more from these threads right now, they're really no ending to me. I will post again in the Inland 2010 thread later if needed to avoid littering the forum. Thanks a lot, you're sweet!

Hi Hatrang,
The person that we hired to help us is in Toronto. We hired an immigration consultant. You can pretty much find them anywhere.

Hi everyone,
I just got a letter today from immigration Canada. I have been refused my restoration visa extension which goes back to Jan 2011. I initially applied for a extension online but was refused as they were unable to open an attachment. So I had to apply for the restoration. They have not given me any reason why I was refused, and tried calling CIC today but was not able to get through. They have also stated that I leave Canada immediately as I have no status here.
However, I left Canada in May 2011 as my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in England. I came back 3 weeks ago, and got through immigration no problem. So I guess my PR application wont be affected. So does this mean I get an extra 6 months in canada? Please if anyone knows anything please help me out.
Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your time.
Do you have documentation of visiting this last time (visitor record, passport stamp, etc.)? If you don't, I would actually advise that you first call CIC (call a few times to make sure answers add up) and talk with them. It really isn't my place to suggest things but I will still try and give some advice. Are you from a visa-exempt country? If you are and you have proof of your application being received by Vegreville (e-Cas printout, FOSS, tracking, etc.), then I would advise that you re-cross again. This time with your spouse asking that you be able to stay. Hopefully they give you a visitor record or stamp. Essentially yes, you do have 6 months to stay again but it would be best for you to have documented proof of this so it doesn't cause any delays with the PR application. And where you recently just crossed not long after this, it can be a toss up. So you definitely want to figure out both from CBSA and CIC to as to what they recommend. Anyway CIC has been known to transfer due to lack of status (or if they don't have validation of your status being valid) which as you know with some local offices when being transferred without receiving AIP first, it can take a long time to even get an AIP interview. If you have or can get documented proof of your recent visit and they can back up that you do indeed have 6 months to stay again based on your most recent entry, then I would at least recommend that you mail a letter asking that a note be attached to your file saying that you do indeed have legal status and maybe even explain the situation that has occurred. Best to be safe than sorry when dealing with immigration. Just my 2 cents.
