Hi! Would you mind me asking what kind of documents they request? As im afraid they will ask for recent police check so i will get before they ask. Thanks
They asked for more proof of our relationship, so I sent joint bank accounts, joint vehicle insurance, joint credit cards etc. They also looked for my finger prints They received it all on May 10th 2012 and I haven't heard anything since  |

This one is amazing, I guess you're the luckiest person here then. As other posts, right now CIC is working on end of August 2011 app. Your app. received on October 11, 2011 and you got AIP on June 2012, even though you had an interview, it's still a dream. Congratulations!
As of your post, you just received AIP (first stage approval) a month ago, the second stage is expected for a couple of months, it's been just 1 month so far, how come it is too long?
Hey Hatrang, Congratulations on your quickie immigration process!!!  I must admit I'm a little jealous  , I sent mine in Oct 4, 2011 and still haven't heard a peep from the CIC. Just curious, where did you send your application? I sent mine to Vegreville so perhaps its a difference in the processing times of where the application was sent. Thanks so much!! TPW |

I also received work permit (it looks exactly like visa paper)
Question:
Is the work permit my temporary sin or I must go and obtain one?
What about ohip, can I apply for it now?

you have to get a SIN. that work permit is just for you to show to get a job.

TPW I think you should ask vincystress because that was my response to his/her question. Anyway, I saw his/her answer right below, you can reference to the info there. You sent your app. before me 1/2 month, if there is some news from CIC, you must get it before I do. Don't worry, your turn will come in around 2 months. Hope that helps! |

Just wanna share, on 12th of July I got a letter of my DM dated July 9,2012.
Today, I got a letter again from CIC Edmonton that on 26 of July I am scheduled for my landing date/interview & I have to pay the RPRF & 2 pcs PR card Photo.
21 days from DM to landing date... ^__^

Yeah, if in your Ecas change to decision made that means stage 2 is already finalized. You will receive a letter saying that the PR application is completed & just wait for the local office to contact you for your landing date/interview. |
