HELLO EVERYONE...
We sent our inland application together with the application of open work permit on May 24, 2011. CPC vegrellile recieved it on May 27th. Until now we haven't heard anything from them. My concern is my work permit will expire on October 18 2011. Should I apply for another permit? But the problem is my employer would not renew my contract because I am 7 seven months pregnant. Its understandable anyway because when I give birth I cannot work right away.

Thank you,
nilyam

Heidy, we sent ours with our application. I believe you have to send it. If not, I would send it anyway because it takes them 2-2.5 months right now on top of the 10 month AIP wait to open mail and attach the documents. Definitely send it now. You can ask the Inland 2010 people there advice but I would just send it. It doesn't hurt. It will only help you. But make sure you put your client id number at the top of every page.

Nilyam, I believe and I am not sure, I think I read somewhere that you can keep working with an expired work permit. Maybe ask this question in the Inland 2010 thread.

Hello Nilyam,

If you included the application for open work permot with your initial application you do not need to renew your WP as you would be considered in ''implied status''

“implied status”. Basically if a worker, student or visitor files an application to extend their status in Canada, they may remain in Canada on the terms of the original status until a decision is made on their application to extend. That is, a worker can continue to work, a student can continue to study and a visitor can continue to visit until they get an answer on their extension application, so long as they remain in Canada.

Wow, our group is getting bigger. Love Young said it would get bigger and she was right. People are still joining the 2010 Inlanders thread too.

Yeah, I sure did! I knew it would.  Tongue Yep, I still get so many people joining for the 2010 thread still, it is crazy but awesome as well. More information always helps and I mean wow look at the list we have there. It is HUGE! When I first started it, I thought it would never work or might not be as helpful as I was hoping it would be but slowly people started joining. Then I continued to talk and bond with people in hopes they would feel comfortable and stay. Now look at it. I wish you all a bunch of luck when your turn comes. All will be wonderful and well and if you ever feel down look at our chart in the 2010 thread. The odds are weighing for you. Cheesy Good luck everyone!

Hey Angtao,

Don't know for what it's worth but I got my CSQ ( Certificat de selection du Quebec today. Don't know if it's worth updating or not, just wanted to share. Anyone know the next step?

Hi Dorina,

I do not know anything about the Quebec process but I think that getting the CSQ is a very good thing. I am not sure what you have to do with it as I have never seen what it looks like but at least you got it. I would just sit tight for now. Good to hear from you. I thought everyone disappeared. LOL

Hi everyone, this is my first time to report myself to this family. I have just spent 2 hours reading all of your post in this forum and I felt a bit of relief to find out that I am actually on the same boat with you guys.  Grin Please include me to the inland family's chart, I will keep posting my updates here. My file was received by an officer in vegreville on 29th July 2011 , but I couldn't check my update through CAS yet. My plan is to give a call to CIC on Monday to see if someone has opened my file. I find thinking/worrying about my application is kinda wasting my energy, so, beside doing my hobbies, I go out and meet more people to expand my network in Canada. I would love to know how's everyone spending your time while waiting for the AIP. Thanks! Wink

I would love to know how's everyone spending your time while waiting for the AIP. Thanks! Wink

Welcome!  Hope your application goes through smoothly!  As for my wife during the generously free time CIC gives a person in this process, she's enjoying her newly discovered passion of scrapbooking.  She is also studing English to bring hers to a professional level.  I'm trying to keep her busy with day trips around Ontario to see some of the many attractions we have to offer!  Peace...
