Our app was received may 31.. (Can someone add us to chart).. And I called again today, and I the sponsor still have no client Id. They then checked if anything was mailed to us with a decision and she said there was nothing. In the beginning she asked if we got an acknowledge letter upon receipt, and I said no.
Has everyone gotten a letter from them saying they received?
I don't understand why we haven't heard anything yet, when they have given decisions to others in same time period. Frustrating!

I didn't get any letter either saying they have received our application I agree with you, it is very frustrating. I am a few days behind you and no word either. I called CIC last week and they told me to call back in 6 weeks if I hadn't heard anything !! |

Our application was received same day as yours n- May 31st. We havent heard anything yet either....  I also called last week on Friday and was told to call back in 4 weeks IF I dont hear anything by then. All they told me was that the medicals were received and that they are waiting for the background clearance. I too am very frusterated....  |

hi everyone , i have a question, will appreciate for an answers 1. my application was sent nov 2011 in vegreville and my dependant child was included in the application, im just wondering when they will contact my daughters guardian for relation confirmation and medical exam, is it after first stage of approval or anytime after u passed the complete application?? 2. my daughters guardian is leaving on the 29th ( out of country) and will be back after 6 mos, should i update vegrevile for new reliable guardian ? 3. and while waiting for the first stage of approval, can i work and process new work permit as long as i have a lmo? im holding a temporary visitors record, just wondering if i can go back to work again.. thanks! and good luck for all of us |

I'm on the same situation. My application was received on June 03, 2011; Starting processing it on June 15, 2011. Medical Exams was received on August 28, 2011. And now just waiting .... forever!

I assume that you got your common-law a individual tax number? I'm asking because the stupid online software that I use to file taxes asks for your spouse's sin number. Or did you just put 000 000 000 ?
I did not put anything, it list as "missing" at the end, but CRA always accepted it. |

just phoned cic and the nice lady said there was a letter in the mail asking me to pay the $490 landing fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just looking at last years time line (2011) at easter. They slowed down then due to the Easter and spring break as well. One more week and maybe they will get back to work. I am a Canadian born here, my fathers family came to Nova Scotia in 1755. So I guess that you could say I am a Canadian. One that is very embarrassed that the first impression you guys get of this country is this!!!! |
