Omg, serendipity, you guys must be through the moon with this news. You got both staged approved.
Congratulations, I am so happy for you guys. Btw, can I ask which office she will be landing in?

I can't sleep so I decided to come online and check the forum and I am so happy to see that you got approved.

Congrats again

Another question, in what case would you get the second stage denied? Second stage is police records and exam, right? I'm assuming if you're healthy and have no record, you'll pass?

I guess sesamerush is next. Get ready.

I am just noticing some huge gaps in our chart. There is no one from feb.3-23 which is a 3 week period and also from feb.24-mar.10, another 2 weeks. Oh well, nothing we can do about that. I notice a lot of new people join around the time they get approved so I am sure that we will see some new people soon.

Hi everyone! I see a lot of people getting good answers here, so I thought I'd post on this topic (even though I made one), just so I can get more opinions.

My app for PR under H&C was approved and my letter was sent beginning of December 2011. I called the CIC centre (that's how I found out it was approved) and they told me my letter would probably arrived within 2 business weeks. It's almost been a month, and it hasn't arrived, yet. I guess it's probably because of the holidays. Now, my question is, is it the post office or the immigration office that's taking long? Did they send it already? I just want to know how that works. I want it to arrive soon, so I know asap what I have to do next. Smiley

Thanks!

Hi there

Just a quick question if u don't mind, u said it case is approved on H&C grounds, may I ask what was the basics of H&C? I am asking cos I might go on H&C finally

Thanks an happy new year to everyone.

We called CIC this morning at 8 AM sharp, and the agent that answered did indeed confirm that both stages had been approved at the same time. We are ecstatic, to say the least, and extremely happy and thankful that we were blessed in such a way. (Getting both stages approved at once is, no doubt, serendipitous Smiley )

Also, and according to the same agent, my wife should be landing in Scarborough in the next couple of months or so.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, and we truly hope that you all may get some good news in the very near future.

Hi everyone,

My wife and I have begun the Inland Application process for her Permanent Residence in Canada, with me being the sponsor. We're going through a lawyer because of a bad experience we had in 2010 when she applied for a Live-In Caregiver Temporary Permit, so we're hoping it all goes a little more smooth this time around!

Although I don't know exact dates of when the law office submitted our information, we handed in our forms on Sept.5, so it would likely be around the middle of September 2011 that are application was sent off. So now we wait Smiley

I have a question for anyone that can advise though... I just got our Receipt Number (IMM5401) from the lawyer today, to try to access the Client Application Status service on the CIC website (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=ecas). Is this the same service as the 'E-Cas' that everyone is referring to? I have seen this link before (https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/), and I'm just wondering if there is any benefit/more information when using this service as opposed to the CIC's?

Also, when I put the information into the CIC's Client Application Status tool, it just says that 'We were not able to identify you using the information you provided', and gives a few reasons, such as the application being received but not processed yet.. Is it normal to not be able to fully login ~3.5 months after the application has been submitted?

Thanks in advance for any help, and congrats to Serendipity for good news!

 @ lisow

Yes, the Client Application Status service is what people here refer to as 'ecas'.  And yes I think it's normal that you can't log in yet.  My fiance applied mid august and just the other day we received an email from CIC saying they received our application and giving us the required application number for logging in.  I'd assume you should be in the system soon if you're from september.

If you've received an email from CIC directly, maybe try variations on the last name?  you should be logging in with the applicants details.

and that second link is just a web application that an individual made that will email you whenever your file on the main e-CAS site is updated.  For whatever reason CIC didn't implement that small but handy feature.

Great, thanks for the info Sievo! We haven't received any information yet from CIC, although I'm not sure if we will since we used a representative.

I just found out that our Application date was Sept.9, 2011, so it's likely just a matter of waiting a few more weeks..
